Alert types
SeatDrop sends different notifications depending on what triggered the alert. Here's a quick reference for what each one means.
Seat alerts
These fire when a seat you're monitoring changes from taken to available.

|---|---|---|
| 💺 | Seat drop | One or more specific seats you're monitoring just became available. Tap to book before someone else grabs them. |
| 👥 | Group drop | A block of adjacent seats opened up together. The number tells you how many are available side by side. |

The heading carries the film and the showtime — the two things that tell you which of your alerts fired — because a phone's lock screen cuts the heading short. The theatre leads the second line. Every chain uses this same shape.
If you gave the alert a label, it comes first on the second line, ahead of the theatre.
Ticket drop alerts
⏸ Paused — AMC data unavailable. These alerts rely on AMC's showtime feed, which is currently unavailable, so new drop alerts can't be created and existing ones won't fire for now. Your saved drop alerts are kept and resume automatically. Seat alerts and new-showtime alerts are unaffected.

New showtime alerts
These fire automatically when AMC adds new showtimes for a movie you're already monitoring at the same theatre — on any date, not just the date you're monitoring. See the new-showtime FAQ for how far ahead they look and why they're grouped the way they are.

New showings are grouped one notification per date, and match the format you're monitoring.
