Find your theatre

Start typing the name of your theatre in the search box on the home page. Results filter as you type, grouped by state and city.

Tip: star a theatre to pin it as a favourite and default new searches to it. On desktop, tap the star next to a selected theatre; manage the full list anytime under My Theatres on Profile, reachable from desktop and mobile.

Supported chains

SeatDrop currently supports:

• AMC Theatres — all US locations
• Cinemark Theatres - all US locations
• Alamo Drafthouse — all US locations
• BFI IMAX and BFI Southbank — London
• Apple Cinemas — five IMAX locations: Providence Place (IMAX 70mm), Hooksett, Saco, White Plains, and Van Ness (San Francisco), all IMAX digital

BFI doesn't get its own filter button, because it's two cinemas rather than a chain. Search London, or type either name, and both come up. Apple works the same way — search a city or theatre name instead of a chain filter.

Skip the search with a URL

If you already have a showtime URL (from AMC, Alamo, Cinemark, or Apple Cinemas' website or app), paste it directly into SeatDrop. You'll jump straight to the seat map for that showtime, skipping the theatre and date selection steps.

For BFI, paste the film's page from whatson.bfi.org.uk — the one with the showtime you want. BFI's seat map has no link of its own, so the film page is the one to copy; a mapSelect.asp link won't work.

Apple Cinemas links from applecinemas.com work too, including a movie's landing page if you don't have a showtime link yet — SeatDrop will still resolve the theatre and movie and let you pick a date and showtime from there.

Find these in the app

Tap the bolt icon in the Theatre & Date step header and SeatDrop will point out the URL box and your default-theatre control in place, one at a time, with a short animation of each.
