Understanding the demand map
The demand map shows how contested each seat is for the showtime you're currently viewing. Toggle it on using the flame icon in the toolbar above the seat map.
What the colours mean
Colours are scaled to this specific showtime, not to a fixed number of people. A showtime everyone's watching and a quiet one both get a legend that fits their own real spread of monitors — so a popular showtime still shows its true hot spots instead of nearly every seat washing out to the same colour.
The legend under the map lists each shade with the exact watcher-count range it covers — for example "1–24" up through "85–113" — from no one monitoring to the busiest seats in the auditorium. The top band is a closed range, so its upper number is the real count on the most contested seat in the room. Because the scale resets per showtime, the same shade on two different showtimes can mean different watcher counts. If you're comparing demand across showtimes rather than within one, read the legend's numbers, not just the colour.
How to use this information
If a popular seat opens up, multiple people will be notified at the same time. Seats with fewer monitors give you a better chance of being the first to book.
Consider monitoring seats with lower demand if you want less competition, or cast a wider net by monitoring both popular and less-popular seats in your preferred area.
